The Global Trade Compliance Manager oversees trade compliance activities for the APACSA region, ensuring adherence to international trade laws, customs regulations, and internal policies. The role supports business growth while mitigating regulatory risk, maintaining audit readiness, and aligning regional practices with global compliance standards in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Trade & Regulatory Compliance – Ensure regional compliance with trade regulations, monitor regulatory changes, and maintain up-to-date compliance policies.
- Customs & Duty Management – Oversee classification, valuation, origin, broker relationships, and duty optimization including FTA utilization.
- Risk, Audit & Controls – Maintain audit readiness, lead compliance audits and risk assessments, and manage corrective actions.
- Training & Advisory – Deliver trade compliance training and act as a regional subject-matter expert.
- Documentation & Reporting – Ensure accurate trade documentation and timely regulatory filings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner cross-functionally to support compliance for operations, new products, and market expansion.
THIS POSITION IS FOR YOU IF...
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Law, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in global or regional trade compliance, ideally within FMCG, food, or consumer goods.
- Strong expertise in customs regulations, export controls, sanctions, HS classification, and FTA programs.
- Proven experience managing audits, risk assessments, and compliance programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with trade compliance systems and ERP tools (e.g. SAP GTS, Oracle GTM).
- Professional certifications (e.g. CCS, Licensed Customs Broker, CES, CTPAT/AEO exposure) are a plus.
